Stipple Baby quilt, wall hanging

I loved the idea of this quilt. The biggest drawback I found was the appliqué stitching. For use as a quilt, I found I had to repeat the appliqué stitching to insure it could withstand several washings. I think a bean or narrow satin stitch designed in the software would have worked better. Also I found that with fcm ( on my scan n cut machine) the designs should be slightly enlarged before cutting to avoid the appliqué stitching falling precisely on the edges and not securing the appliqué fabric. This could have been avoided had a satin stitch been incorporated in the design instead of a straight stitch. I chose to stitch the clothesline and “tie” the clothespins to withstand laundering. This quilt was much more work than I expected but did turn out well finally. My new great-grand baby’s Mom and Dad loved it.
