Filling Medium Spaces

Embroidery Software Success by Eileen Roche

Eileen Roche created the Embroidery Software Success series to teach you how to make the most of the  features found in My Lace Maker Software.

A medium size canvas is defined as one that fits a 6” x 10” or smaller hoop. The keys to creating lace for medium size canvases or garment sections is to define the space, set the grid, add the main decorative lace elements and sprinkle small accents.

The canvas is defined by loading a backdrop into the software. In this tutorial you'll learn how to:

  • use the backdrop tool
  • fill a space with a custom grid
  • add the main decorative lace elements
  • add interest with accents
